Amarula Delights

"The Spirit of Africa" is how Amarula describe their amazing cream liqueur. Marula trees are considered the sacred tree of Africa and have been used for carvings, wooden instruments and medicinal properties but the are mostly loved for the shade they create within a village and therefore became the spiritual centre of the village. The Marula fruit has four times more vitamin C than an orange and a huge a favourite in the wild amoung elephants, in fact the tree is sometimes called the elephant tree! It is scientifically proven that the elephant starts displaying tipsy behaviour after eating the fruit - whether it is the drinkenness of the fermented fruit or not, it is quite a sight!
